I'm wrapping up the final edits to my first novel manuscript (working title, Outremer). Below is a shot of several copies I had printed for editing purposes. Note the beautiful cover, one of my brother-in-law (Brian Swisher)'s creations.
Now begins the tedious, laborious, tortuous, and noxious effort of finding a literary agent who will give me the time of day. The odds of me actually getting it published would make a compulsive gambler push back from the table, but I'm going to give it a go.
In the words of Miracle Max and his wife: "Think it'll work?" -- "It'll take a miracle."
I'm sitting here with a chocolate-covered walnut in my mouth, so I'm hoping for the best.

I can't look at that pic without smiling. I'm SO proud of you! I know I'll feel like a moron and need to have the dictionary by my side, but I can't wait to read it! Yay for you, Writey Writerson! :D
Too kind, Chrissy!
But what's all this talk about being a moron? You're one of the most avid readers I know. I'll be enlisting your help in editing.
