At the beach house Julia roamed free. It was surprisingly child-safe, so we could let her rum amuck without fear of injury. We felt safe doing this because she would nearly always end up in this cabinet. It is used by the owners to hold place mats. Julia would have none of that. She would throw the doors open, toss the place mats to the ground, and claim the cabinet for herself by climbing inside. I particularly like the lighting in this shot that Annie took. Julia is cute, too.

under sinks and in cabinets was a favorite hiding place of mine when I was a wee one as well
Max likes to hide under the kitchen table, and graze for crunchies that he dropped earlier. I've begun to suspect that he is dropping food on the floor on purpose, stashing it away squirrel-style for later times of need.
Max is a wise young man. He knows to store up during his hours of plenty for his hourse of famine. Genna is doing something similar. She is stashing books, toys, and stuffed animals in her crib for nap and bed time. We don't always catch her.
