Extra Reading Time

Most animals have an inherent instinct not to crawl into dark holes. My twins seem to have misplaced this life-preserving trait. I let them stay up late the other night, and look where I found them! In the play room, under the stairs - a dark hole.

They were busy reading books and being awfully bright-eyed for the late hour, so I had to grab the camera.

Not too bad, eh? When mom's away, the girls get some extra reading time in. I'm such an awesome father.

I can't blame them too much...I love late night reading too!

I see. They take after their uncle Ian.

As long as the instinct to hide under the stairs is not replaced by the one to crawl out the window at age 16....

Excellent point. I'll make sure to reinforce the whole under the stairs thing.

I love the Glassey Eyed look you can especially see on Genna.

I used to make playhouses for myself in my bedroom closet when I was little. There is something about a private nook that is just the right size when you are a kid. Annie talked about putting doors on that little cubbyhole and making a closet when you guys moved in, and I remember telling her that if she left it, it would be a great hidey-hole. I am pleased that, once again, I have been proven right.

As a kid there are few things as fun as a hidey-hole.

The galssy eyed look on Genna is due to the cold medicine that Justin to get them to sleep earlier. Unfortunatly it had the opposite effect and wired the girls thus causing them to hide
