Keeping the Tradition Alive

This is why I gave up bullfighting last year. Way too many close calls. We plan on having more children, and if this horn had been an inch higher ... well, our aspirations for more progeny may have been dashed.

We do want to keep the bullfighting tradition alive in our family, however. So, I am training Genna to assume the matador-mantle from me. Her first opponent: Chicken Elmo.

you should have let me mess with it! I could make the horn come out the back or something...sigh.

Chicken Elmo is a formiddable enemy. I have the upmost confidence in Genna, however. She is quite scrappy.

Ian, I thought about it. Believe me, I did. You can probably find one online of someone being gored for real, anyway.

Chelsa, I thank you for your confidence in the diminutive yet fiesty Genna. If only she had the same faith in herself. She is very worried about the match. Especially since I have set up a pool - Elmo is favored to win. :(

yeah, but I hear that Kate put a lot of money on ol' Chicken Elmo for the express purpose of breaking down Genna's confidence.

I bet six teething cookies that Genna takes Elmo down.

Through size and her life long ability at taking down Kate, I would say that this match poses no problem for her physically. Unlike in the match between her father and the bull. The match she faces with Chicken Elmo is a much fiercer one of the mind. Although she has gotten good at taunting him of late.

I thank you all for your faith in Genna's ability to take down Chicken Elmo.

One obvious advantage Genna has, is that she can create new taunting songs on the fly, as opposed to C.E.'s singular "Chicken Song."

see.. the problem there is that you need to do more stepping out of the way of the bull, and less horn humping
